Italian Sausage Stuffed Palmetto Cheese Mushrooms

16 oz. Large Mushrooms
8 oz. Italian sausge, raw
1/2 cup red pepper, small diced
1/2 tub Palmetto Cheese (12oz. tub)
3 green onions, sliced
salt and pepper to taste

Yield: 12 -15 mushrooms, depending on size

Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Remove stems from mushrooms and rinse under cold water. In a mixing bowl combine sausage, red peppers, Palmetto Cheese, green onions and salt/pepper. With a teaspoon, top mushrooms heavily with the filling. Place into a baking dish that has been lightly greased with olive oil or cooking spray.
Continue to fill all of your mushrooms.

Bake for 25 minutes.
These can be served as an appetizer or with your entree. Great for parties too!!!
