Quiche with PC Sausage Ball Crust
Ingredients
- Crust:
- 1 lb. Breakfast Sausage (uncooked)
- 11 oz. Palmetto Cheese - Original, Jalapeno, or Bacon
- 2 Cups Bisquick™
- Saute Vegetables:
- 1 lb. Bacon, chopped
- 1 Onion diced
- 8 oz. Mushrooms sliced
- 5 oz. bag Spinach
- Filling:
- 12 Eggs
- 2 cups shredded Swiss Cheese
- 1/2 cup Parmesan
- 1/4 cup Heavy Cream
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
Delicious for breakfast, brunch tailgates or supper! These can also be cut into smaller pieces and served as appetizers.

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375F.
- For the crust, mix together sausage, Palmetto Cheese, and Bisquick and stir until combined.
- Line the bottom and sides of a 9x13 pan with the Palmetto Cheese/sausage mixture. About 1/2 inch thick.
- Bake for 8 minutes.
- Remove from the oven, press down the crust with the back of a spoon.
- Set aside.
- Time to cook the vegetables!
- Cut the bacon into 1/2" slices and brown off in a skillet.
- Drain the fat and set bacon aside.
- In the same skillet, add onions and cook until translucent.
- Add mushrooms to the pan and cook for two minutes.
- Add the spinach and bacon to the pan and cook until spinach begins to wilt or about 2-3 minutes.
- Spread the sauté vegetables on top of the crust.
- Now for the filling!
- In a mixing bowl, add eggs and beat. It's best to use a whisk for this step.
- Add the remaining ingredients and stir until combined.
- Pour egg mixture over vegetables.
- Cook at 375 degrees for 25 minutes or until the egg mixture is set in the middle.
