Sausage Mushroom Caps
Ingredients
- 11 oz Palmetto Cheese - Original, Jalapeno, Pepper Jack or Bacon
- 1 Cup Swiss Cheese, shredded
- 1 Pound Breakfast Sausage, cooked and drained
- 1/2 Cup Green Onions, chopped
- 8 oz. Cream Cheese
- Mushroom Caps
- 1/2 Cup Swiss, shredded (for topping)

This recipe is great for a party. If you need a smaller quantity of mushrooms, just cut the recipe in half. If you make a full recipe and don't want to use it all on mushrooms, the filling is also used for the Sausage Bundles recipe made with Pillsbury Crescent Roll Dough. Instructions
- Brown off the breakfast sausage and then drain it of excess oil and cool.
- Combine Palmetto Cheese, Swiss cheese, cooked sausage, green onions, and cream cheese. Stir to combine.
- Remove the stems from the mushrooms and place the mushroom caps on a tray or oven safe dish.
- Fill each mushroom cap with the filling.
- Top with shredded Swiss cheese.
- Bake at 400F for 20 minutes.
