- 1 Cup Palmetto Cheese (Original, Jalapeno, or Bacon)
- 1 Cup Flour
- 1/4 Cup Butter or Margarine
- 1/2 Cup Pecans, chopped fine
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- Sea Salt
- Pecan pieces to garnish

Instructions
- Using a stand up mixer, combine flour and Palmetto Cheese and mix on medium for 60 seconds.
- Add butter and mix on medium speed until blended.
- In a food processor, grind pecans fine. Add pecans and salt to the cheese mixture and mix until combined.
- Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours. Dough must be chilled to work with.
- Once chilled, roll dough out on a floured surface to 1/8” thickness.
- With a round cookie cutter cut shapes into the dough. We used a 2” cutter for the crackers shown. Remaining dough can be combined back together and rolled again.
- Place the cut dough onto a greased baking sheet. Parchment paper or a silicone liner can also be used and makes removal from the pan a much easier process.
- Press a pecan half into the center of each cracker and sprinkle with sea salt before baking.
- Bake at 400F for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
